Witching Hour, Ladytron’s third album, shows the band has expanded its sound from its first two discs, which both had more of an electroclash feel.
This time, the members of Ladytron have gone for a New Wave feel, which seems quite popular in today’s market. It seems strong vocals delivered by a hot woman never go out of style.
The album pulses and swoons thanks to a heavy reliance on synthesizers and digital drums, while guitars add atmosphere and ambiance to synth-focused songs.
There’s a dark, seductive sound on this record and, like that hot, mysterious girl you’re too afraid to approach, you keep coming back to check it out.
