Western puts on defensive clinic
Two confident teams met in a women's rugby match on Wednesday.
One team left with even more confidence, while the other left
with their heads hanging in shame.

Once upon a time...
Baseball Wars
Their baseball is real. But they are not.
No, it's not some Spielberg-esque version of "A.I. Baseball." The
game was Base Wars, a curious amalgam of baseball and gladiatorial
combat for the original 8-bit Nintendo. If you ever had a craving
for robot baseball/violence, then this game fits your niche
perfectly.

Outside the Western gates
Below is what happened in the world of professional sports
last week:

"Sausage party" earns money
If you ask the organizers, it's all about the liquid-injected
balls.
This weekend the Off Campus Dons are hosting Western's first
ever road hockey tournament. The "O.C. Cup" promises to be
the largest road hockey tournament to ever take place in London.
Twenty-four teams of five members each will take to the asphalt
in an attempt to win some prizes and have their team name be
the first engraved on the O.C. Cup.

Letters from the edge
What the Shuk?
Dear Brett Favre,
It's been quite a ride over your 11 years in Green Bay. Three
MVP awards, eight playoff appearances, a painkiller addiction,
a record-setting consecutive games played streak and a Super
Bowl win. That's a Hall of Fame resumé with absolutely nothing
left to prove.
