Garden gnomes missing? Blame the French

Always smiling, my neighbour's gnome had the rosiest cheeks and was dressed in bright clothing – he seemed to be quite content. However, was he genuinely happy or was he just another victim of human oppression?

Think you're happy? Check out these people

The Secret Society of Happy People was started by a woman named Pamela Gail who wanted to see people stop being "parade-rainers" and begin to enjoy life again. In an interview, Gail shared her views on happiness and happy people. Here is what the founder of this smile-stricken society had to say.

Left is right

What hand do you use to scratch your back? What ear do you hold the phone to? When folding your arms, what arm is on top?
If you are right-handed, but answered "left" to any of these three questions, you could be more left-handed than you thought. The Left-Handed Liberation Society, otherwise known as the Left-Handed Liberation Front, is working hard to make sure left-handed people around the world are not stigmatized for the use of their left hand.

Got evil? Go to Carleton

Back in 1997, the administration at Carleton University had an arch-nemesis. They were angry at a small collective of students who called themselves "The Carleton League of Super Villains" (http://sulkor.tripod.ca).
