Ottawa beats Western: Haylor still second best

Close, but no cigar.

Larry Haylor, head coach of the Western Mustangs football team, was one win away from surpassing Dave Knight's all-time Canadian Interuniversity Sport coaching wins record going into Saturday's game versus the University of Ottawa Gee Gee's – he's still waiting for that win.



Sloppy Stangs save it for late

Like any student who has ever slipped an essay under a professor's office door six days after the due date, the Western Mustangs men's lacrosse team were likely uttering a familiar phrase after their win Saturday – better late than never.

 


Mustangs ram Ryerson

For a team that considers themselves to still be in a "tryout stage," the Western Mustangs men's basketball team looked very good last Friday in an exhibition game against the Ryerson Rams.
