Pointing the finger away

To the Editor:
I was amused to read Jackson's well thought out opinions on why our fine scholastic institution has the reputation it does, citing, "high maintenance girls" as the reason.

Well, that is quite a compliment if you ask me. To suggest the only reason Western has a snotty reputation is because of the 'pretty ladies' that compose part of the student population suggests these women yield a huge influence over the rest of the world – or at least the people who think Western is full of snobs.

I am not denying the existence of sorority/frat life on campus, nor am I defending the 'snobby' attitudes that may or may not be a result of that life. I am, however, suggesting that part of the REAL problem with Western is people like Jackson, who proport to blame a problem that involves the entire school on one group of individuals.
